CAIRO – 30 July 2017 The Egyptian Squash Juniors female national team won the Juniors Squash World Team Championships that was held in New Zealand from July 25-29.

The Egyptian Squash Youth team lifted the trophy after beating the Malaysian team with a 2/0 score on July 29.

Hania el-Hammamy defeated the Malaysian champion Sivasangari Subramaniam with a score of 3/1. With the same result, Rawan el-Araby won the talented Malaysian squash player Andrea Lee, which caused the third match to not be played due to the Egyptian team winning the first two matches.

It is good to mention that the Egyptian national team went to the finals after winning Hong Kong in the semi-finals with a 2/0 score.

This great victory means that Egypt will maintain the title for the sixth consecutive time. Egypt managed to win the tournament in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017.
