CAIRO, June 4, 2024: The Egyptian national football team, led by coach Hossam Hassan, continued their training sessions in preparation for the match between Burkina Faso and Guinea Bissau, scheduled for June 6 and 10, in the third and fourth rounds of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals.
Omar Kamal joined the team's camp and participated in part of the team's training after the injury of Ahmed Fatouh.
The Egyptian national team's training session was attended by Gamal Allam, EFA president, Khaled Al-Darandli, Vice President.
The Egyptian national team succeeded in achieving victory during the first and second rounds of the World Cup qualifiers, defeating Djibouti in Cairo by 6-0, before defeating Sierra Leone 2-0 in the second round, which was held away from home.
While the Burkina Faso national team fell into a draw in the first round against Guinea Bissau with a goal for each team, before achieving a 3-0 victory in the second round over Ethiopia.
The Egyptian national team group standings before the third and fourth rounds were as follows:
1 - Egypt national team 6 points.
2 - Burkina Faso national team, 4 points
3 - Guinea-Bissau national team, 4 points.
4 - Sierra Leone national team, one point
5 - Ethiopian national team, one point.
6 - Djibouti national team 0 points.
