CAIRO, 5 December 2023: Egypt was awarded the privilege to host the African Games in 2027, according to a formal letter sent by Mustafa Braff, President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), to Engineer Hisham Hatab, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
On October 13, 2023, Engineer Hisham Hatab, Board of Directors' president of the Egyptian Olympic Committee addressed the Board of Directors of "ANOCA" and announced that Egypt would like to host the African Games in 2027.
ANOCA expressed its ultimate respect and gratitude to Egypt and its great leader H.E President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the wisdom, guidance and understanding reflected during last meeting held in September 2022 in attendance of Minister of Youth & Sports, Mr. Ashraf Sobhy, and President of International Olympic committee, Dr. Thomas Bach.
