With the memories of the iconic win over Algeria in 1989, the famous header of Mido to beat Senegal in 2001 and many fantastic football nights, the African World Cup qualifiers nights are back to Cairo International Stadium.

The clash against Djibouti signifies the start of a two-year quest, with the aim of booking a place in the upcoming World Cup in North America.

Rui Vitória's men aim for a strong start in the campaign as they hope to return to the biggest competition in football after missing the last edition in Qatar.

"It is very important to have a strong start to the qualifiers. A victory against Djibouti will give us confidence and send a clear message to the other opponents. Reaching the World Cup is the dream of the Egyptian people and we will do our best to achieve it." Mohamed Elneny stated in the pre-game press conference.

The Pharaohs play in Group A of the qualifiers alongside Djibouti, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau.

The game starts at 6:00 PM.
