CAIRO – 18 July 2017: Brazilian midfielder and Bayern Munich star Douglas Costa has signed a one season contract with Italian champions Juventus (Bianconeri) for €6 million ($6.8 million). The option to buy him in a free transfer is still viable, but at a price tag of €40million.

Douglas Costa is the 13th Brazilian player in Juventus’ history, having signed 12 other Brazil nationals over the past years, as reported by Goal website.

Other Brazilian black and white shirt holders have included: Julio Cesar, Athirson, Emerson, Gladstone, Amauri, Philippe Mello, Diego, Lucio, Hernanes, Neto, Alex Sandro and Dani Alves, according to Super Kora.

Costa joined Bayern on 2015 from Shakhtar Donetsk. He scored 14 goals with 77 appearances in all competitions with Bayern Munich, according to Super Kora.
