CAIRO - 28 July 2022: Egypt U-20 national team finished the group stage with a victory over Somalia on Wednesday night to reach the quarter-finals of the U-20 Arab Cup. 

 

The young Pharaohs put on a strong performance at Damac Stadium in Abha to win the game 2-0 thanks to goals from Omar Ibrahim and Youssef Hassan, who was named the best player in the game. 

 

Egypt advanced to the quarter-finals after finishing as group leaders with two wins over Oman and Somalia. 

 

Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Algeria, Yemen and Egypt booked their place in the quarter-finals with the remaining three places to be decided on Thursday. 

 

Egypt will face the winner of Group F, which will be decided after the game between Palestine and Morocco who share the top with three points each. 

 

Saudi Arabia hosts the competition between 20 July and 6 August with the participation of 18 teams.
