CAIRO – 15 July 2017: Mohamed Salah will play his first match with Liverpool against Wigan Athletic Friday after joining the club from AS Roma, in Liverpool’s second pre-season match.
Salah missed Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers on Wednesday because he had visa issues. Salah left the United Kingdom for a meeting in the British embassy in France and he returned again to Liverpool and is now available to play matches with his new club.
“Mohamed Salah will make his Liverpool debut as part of Liverpool's first-half team here at the DW Stadium tonight,” Liverpool said in the pre-match statement.
Salah will participate in the first half alongside Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Klavan, Flanagan, Henderson, Lallana, Woodburn,Coutinho andFirmino.
Liverpool’s second half line-up will be Karius, Gomez, Stewart, Lovren, Milner, Wijnaldum, Grujic, Chirivella, Solanke, Sturridge, Origi.
Salah joined Liverpool from Roma for € 45 million. Liverpool hopes to win the Premier League rose after signing the Egyptian winger.
