Zamalek tops the league with 60 points after beating Smouha 2-0

CAIRO, 25 July 2022: The Zamalek team achieved an important and difficult 2-0 victory over Smouha in the match that brought them together yesterday at Cairo Stadium in  the 26th round of the Egyptian league.

Zamalek continued their dominance on the top of the Egyptian league with 60 points, while Smouha's balance froze at point 39, collected from 26 matches, occupying fifth place in the standings.

Ahmed Sayed Zizo scored the first goal for the White Knights’ in the 34th minute and Seif El-Din Al-Jaziri in the 47th minute.

After the second goal, the match calmed down completely, and the players of Zamalek dominated the events of the match, after Zamalek’s Portuguese coach Ferreira, the coach of the white team, imposed his style of play in terms of possession of the ball.

Zamalek closed all the spaces in front of Smouha players to prevent them from returning to the match, ending the meeting with Zamalek winning with two clean goals.
