Al Ahly beat Pyramids 2-1, qualify for Egypt Cup semi-final

CAIRO, 27 June 2022: Al-Ahly succeeded in achieving a precious and valuable victory over over Pyramids 2-1 in the match that was held between them at Cairo Stadium in the quarterfinals of the 2020/2021 Egypt Cup.
 
Al Ahly will face Petrojet in the semi-final, aiming to qualify for the final match against Zamalek.
 
The first goal was scored by Taher Mohamed Taher in the 18th minute with a neat header, Pyramids goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy failed to deal with it, and in stoppage time Hossam Hassan scored the second goal of the Reds, and in the last minute Ramadan Sobhi scored the only goal for Pyramids from a penalty kick.

Al-Ahly succeeded in breaking the knot of the Pyramids Club by winning it for the first time in the Egypt Cup, where Al-Ahly was eliminated from the Egypt Cup twice against Pyramids, the first in the 2017-2018 season, with a 1-0 loss, scored by Omar Kamal in the quarter-finals, and the second was the 2020 season after losing 1-0 by Eric Traore in the round of 16.
