CAIRO – 14 July2017: Ahmed El-Shennawi, Zamalek SC and goal keeper for Egypt's National team, states that he is outraged by the statements made to the media about him by Mourtada Mansour, Zamalek SC chairman.

Mansour accused Shennawi of escaping from tonight’s 13 July game against Tala‟ea el-Gaishin 8th round of Egyptian cup.

“I’m not a young boy, but Zamalek SC chairman insists on treating me like a young player, and I won’t let anyone to accuse me of escaping,” Shennawi told Egypt Today.

“Now I feel like I’m playing in the streets, not in a big club, and why they don’t say to media that I’d played the last 3 games while I’m suffering an injury?” Shennawi added.
Shennawi, 26, made 31 appearances this season with Zamalek SC according to TransferMarkt.
