Egyptian national team enters camp in preparation for AFCON 2023 Qualifiers

CAIRO, 30 May 2022: The Egyptian national team, led by Ehab Galal, will enter a closed camp on Monday, in preparation for the matches of Guinea and Ethiopia on June 5 and 9, in the framework of the qualifiers for the African Nations Côte d'Ivoire 2023.

 

Ehab Galal announced a provisional list for the national team, which included 44 players.

The squad includes:

GKs: Mohamed El Shenawy, Abo Gabal, Mahmoud Gad, Mohamed Sobhy

DEFs: Ahmed Hegazy, Mahmoud Alaa, Ali Gabr, Mahmoud Al Wensh, Mahmoud Maree, Mustafa Al-Zinari, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Ayman Ashraf, Ahmed Fattouh, Mohamed Hamdi, Mohamed Hani, Omar Kamal, Omar Jaber

MIDs: Hamdi Fathi, Imam Ashour, Ahmed Hamdi, Khaled Al-Ghandour, Hussein El-Shahat, Mohamed Elneny, Nabil Imad “Dunga”, Muhannad Lashin, Mohamed Metwally “Kanaria”, Amr El-Soulia, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, Mohamed Ibrahim, Ahmed Abdel Qader, Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet”

In a related development, the Board of Directors of the Football Association decided to allocate a share of tickets for the match between Egypt and Guinea in the first round of the qualifiers for the African Nations 2023 for the clubs.

 

The Egyptian Football Association received official approval from the security authorities to allow the attendance of 40,000 fans in the match between Egypt and Guinea on June 5 at Cairo Stadium, in the opening of the two teams’ journey in the qualifiers for the 2023 African Nations Cup in Cote d’Ivoire.
