CAIRO-18 August 2021: Egypt national team head coach Hossam El Badry spoke after the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations draw, held in Cameroon on Tuesday night. 
 
The Pharaohs has been drawn in Group D alongside Nigeria, Sudan, and Guinea Bissau. 
 
"It is a balanced group but it is not an easy one.   All the national teams in Africa have been developed and they all have several top players." El Badry told the Egyptian Football Association, EFA, official website.
 
The Pharaohs have a record-seven Africa Cup of Nations titles and El Badry aims to lead the nation to their first AFCON title since 2010. 
 
El Badry added "I believe that our players are able to advance from the group stage and achieve great results in the competition to please our fans."
 
Egypt's previous journey in the competition ended in the round of 16 after losing to South Africa 1-0 at home. 
 
El Badry continued "We all have the responsibility of representing our country in the best way in the major competitions. I want our fans to keep supporting the team."
 
Egypt will start their journey in the competition against Nigeria at Roumdé Adjia Stadium in Garoua before facing Guinea Bissau in Matchday 2 of the group. 
 
Egypt will end the group stage in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, against Sudan.
