Sports, youth MIN discusses int’l accreditation with NADO

CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Khaled Abdel Aziz, sports and youth minister, met with Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization ‘Egypt NADO’ Tuesday to discuss the action plan of the organization.

Abdel Aziz insisted on the importance of completing the procedures for the accreditation of Egyptian Anti-Doping laboratory internationally through a clear vision with a specific timing of the steps required to get the accreditation.

This laboratory if accredited will be the only one in Africa and the Middle East after South African laboratory stoppage.

“We will arrange a meeting with World Anti Doping Organization in the upcoming days, we will take fifty samples to test them on our laboratory, it will be the last step to get the accreditation, “Oussama Ghoneim, Egypt NODA executive manager, told Egypt Today.

The meeting included many Egypt NODA members like, Dr. Mostafa Ibrahim, Dr. Mohsen Bassiony, Dr. Maha Shafik, Dr. Seif el-Din Abbas, Dr. Nabil Helmy and Eng Mahmoud el-Shamy.
