ALEXANDRIA - 23 December 2017: The number of the foreign tourists visiting Qaitbay Citadel, that is considered one of the oldest Islamic landmarks in Egypt and the Arab world, increased noticeably at the same time of celebrating the advent of the new year.
In statements to MENA on Saturday, the General Director of the Islamic, Coptic and Jewish Antiquities in Alexandria and the North Coast Mohamed Metwali said that Qaitbay Citadel combines between a unique view overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the glory of history reflected by its archaeological feature.
