Fall is around the corner which means cooler weather, cozy sweaters, and unfortunately the aftermath of summer on your hair. While we may be sad to see summer go, months of sun exposure and saltwater have likely left hair feeling brittle and damaged. But don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to revive and restore your hair, preparing it for the new season ahead so check some of the best tips below!

Trim Your Dry Ends
We know you love having long locks but cutting off those damaged ends will not only give your hair a fresh look, but it also prevents further breakage. Trimming your ends every three months will lead to healthier looking hair and will promote its growth.

Incorporate a Deep Conditioning Treatment
Start investing in high-quality deep conditioning mask packed with all the clean and natural ingredients. Use it at least once every week after your usual shower routine. These masks help moisturize your fibers from the inside out by restoring their moisture levels and restoring your natural oils.

Go Heat-Free
Too much heat and sun damage can dry out your hair even more, so it’s time to ditch the straighteners and curling wands and start embracing your natural hair whether it’s wavy, curly, or straight and let your hair air dry more often. However, if you'll use heat make sure to spray a heat protector before styling your hair.

Boost Your Nutrition
Make sure you’re getting enough vitamins and minerals to support hair health. Vitamin E, Omega-3s, and biotin-rich foods like nuts, seeds, and leafy greens can work wonders for hair growth and can even help it grow thicker.

Switch to a Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner
Your hair needs more moisture during the cold weather. Ditch any harsh, clarifying products that dry out your hair.  Look for ingredients like keratin, biotin, coconut oil that strengthen and nourish your hair.
