Egypt’s General Authority for Culture Palaces resumes presenting various artistic, cultural activities in Luxor’s Culture Branch

CAIRO – 4 January 2020: The General Authority for Culture Palaces continues to present a range of cultural and artistic activities in the Luxor Culture Branch, where the Sand Basin Culture Palace held a lecture on Sunday entitled "Religions Confronting Extremism."

 

Diaa el-Hammami spoke on the role of state institutions in confronting this scourge that religions reject, and that all religions urge interdependence and tolerance, and that terrorism has no religion.

 

Moreover, the Hassan Fathy Culture Palace also held a lecture entitled "Raising Productivity to Achieve Food Security."

 

Sayed Sedky explained the concept of food security, its types, components and its importance, production, increasing production efficiency and its role in achieving food security, clarifying the most important measures and efforts in various sectors to achieve food security in Egypt and the most important challenges that we have to face.

 

In addition, the palace held an exhibition of drawing and coloring works by Mohammad Ibrahim.

 

Al-Tarif Culture Palace organized a lecture entitled "The New Year". Al-Adli Hassan Mohammad spoke about the New Year and how to celebrate it and the places where Egyptians celebrate the New Year from public parks and places of worship such as churches.

 

The palace also set up an exhibition of drawing and coloring works by Hassan Refaai.

 

Furthermore, Luxor Culture Palace prepared a lecture entitled "The Murals of the Ancient Egyptian Feasts".

 

Manal Mubarak spoke on the names of some ancient Egyptian holidays and their various rituals.

 

Some various sources for the ancient Egyptian holidays were presented, along with a lecture entitled "The role of institutions in spreading moderate thought and rejecting extremism."

 

Additionaly, Bahaa Taher Palace of Culture carried out a plastic arts workshop on monuments with talents from palace-goers, implemented by Hagar Sayed.

 

The palace also implemented a plastic arts workshop to make a Christmas tree on the occasion of the new year, executed by Gihane Mohammad.

 

The Child Culture Palace prepared a cultural league for children in public information, moderated by Wafaa Abu el-Alamein.

 

Last but not least, the Culture Palace in Hajar el-Adaisat held a puppet show of the story "Prevention is Better than Cure", executed by Gamal Younes.
