El-Sawy Culture Wheel bids 2020 farewell with a puppet performance for Egypt’s Mohammed Mounir

CAIRO – 13 December 2020: The Abdel Moneim El-Sawy Culture Wheel is bidding 2020 farewell by organizing a puppet concert for the “King” Mohammad Mounir and his band on New Year's Eve ( December 31), at 8:00 pm at Al-Hikma Theater.

A selection of Mounir’s songs are scheduled to be played in an Egyptian spirit with the puppets who together make up the embodiment of his real parties.

“New Year means Mounir” is chosen as the slogan of the celebration.

The El-Sawy Puppet Theater was launched in 2006 with the play “The Great Barrier” by the engineer Mohamed Abdel Moneim El-Sawy.

Also, The El-Sawy Culture Wheels holds pride for presenting the concert of Egyptian singing legend Umm Kulthum with her full band through the Puppet Theater, which is the project titled “Umm Kulthum is Back Again”.

It is presented  as  a monthly performance on the first Thursday of every month.
