CAIRO – 30 November 2020: The second season's lectures begins at the International Art Center at the Manesterly Palace of the Cultural Development Fund sector, with a lecture by the maestro and composer Hisham Gabr, director of the center, on December 4 at 7 p.m., entitled “Introduction to the Romantic Era”.

Gabr discusses the beginnings and introductions that preceded and led to the music of the Romantic era, the most important composers who played a major role in the artistic transition between classicism and romanticism, as well as the most important forms, patterns and templates of authorship in that period, were they the same or were they covered by development?

The Romantic movement appeared at the end of the eighteenth century in art and literature, where the romantics rejected the limitations of the classical tradition; for them, authenticity was of utmost importance.

They were celebrating the emotional and instinctive and turned to nature for inspiration.

Beethoven was the turning point to romanticism, despite his presence in the classical era, which made his music characterized by strength and emotionality, so he became the main pioneer of what we now call musical romance.

He left a big impact on the music of the nineteenth century.
