Numerous cultural, artistic events to be held on Oct. 15

CAIRO – 15 October 2020: Egypt’s National Center for Translation, headed by Karma Sami, celebrates the Translator’s Day, which coincides with the birth anniversary of Rafaa al-Tahtawi, the pioneer of translation and enlightenment in the modern era, in the presence of Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem.

 

The activities begin at 5 p.m. with the speech of the translator Mohamed Anani, followed by the speech of Karma Sami, director of the National Center for Translation, then the speech of Egypt’s Minister of Culture.

 

The Cultural Production Affairs Sector, headed by director Khaled Galal, is organizing a major celebration, at 7:30 pm, at the Al-Hanager Art Center in the Egyptian Opera House, in the presence of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, as part of the ministry's celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the glorious October victory.

 

Also, The Al-Hanager Cinema, in Egypt’s Opera House, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund, will host, at 6 p.m. the 14th meeting of the Arab School of Film and Television.

 

The Prince Taz Palace Creativity Center in the Khalifa district, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund sector, is organizing an Arabic music concert for the center's choir team, at 7 p.m., as part of the celebrations of the glorious October War, while adhering to the preventive measures against COVID-19.
