CAIRO - 25 August 2020: The 27th edition of Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre (CIFET) will take place from September 1-11.
 
 
The Egyptian play “Hareem el-Nar” (women of fire) will participate in the festival.
 
The play is taken from the Spanish play “The House of Bernarda Alba” (Spanish: La casa de Bernarda Alba)  by the Spanish dramatist Federico García Lorca.
 
The play deals with women in Upper Egypt through the story of a mother and her daughters, and the influence of Upper Egyptian ideas and customs on their lives.
 
The play stars Aida Fahmy, Manal Zaki, Abeer Lotfi, Nashwa Ismail, Nisreen Youssef, Amira Kamel,Omaima al-Najjar among others.
 
The play's decor is designed by Mohamed Saad,while the costume designer is Shaymaa Mahmoud, music is composed by Mohamed Hosni, choreographer is Mohamed Mizo, lighting designer is Ibrahim El-Farn.
 
“Hareem el-Nar” is written by Shazly Farah and directed by Mohamed Makki.
