CAIRO - 19 April 2020: The United Nations’ Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" called on the people of the world to discover the wonderful Egyptian civilization through the e-initiative launched by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities early April, entitled “Explore Egypt From Home”.

On Sunday, UNESCO praised in a tweet the Egyptian initiative, describing it as an important means that contributes to protecting the well-being of citizens, and also breaks down the barriers created by the novel coronavirus, emphasizing that in times of crisis culture is much needed.

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has launched a number of virtual and guided tours at some Egyptian archaeological sites and museums for the people of the world through the official pages of the ministry on the various social media platforms. This comes during the house quarantine imposed by countries of the world as a precautionary measure against COVID-19 outbreak.
