CAIRO - 15 March 2020: Famed actor Hani Ramzi is preparing for filming his new film “El-Bab Yefawet Gamal” written by Sameh al-Khetm and directed by Ahmed el-Badry.

The film is a comedy and brings back Ramzi to the cinematic scene after a two-year hiatus. Further details about the film and the cast will be announced in the upcoming period.

Ramzi’s latest cinematic work is the film “Kesti Beyewgaani” co-starring Maya Nasri, Hassan Hosni and Mustafa Abu Saree. The film was directed by Ihab Lamiee. The film deals with the simple life of a man, who collects bills and installments for electrical appliances and faces numerous comic situations as the result of the skyrocketing prices in Egypt.

The popular star has been recently honored at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport in Dokki, for his artistic career and successes. Ramzi was welcomed by a number of the academy’s leaders and students.

It is worth mentioning that writer Sameh al-Khetm’s latest work was the film “Ahl el-Kahf” (Cavemen), starring Mahmoud Abdel-Moghany, Maged el-Masry, Rogina, Mai Selim, Ibrahim Nasr, Mohamed Adel, Ehab Fahmy, Aida Riyad, among others. The film was directed by Amir Shawky. The film revolves around friendship and romance, and why true friendship is very rare nowadays.
