CAIRO - 24 February 2020: Egyptian megastar Amr Diab stated that the presence of Mahraganat songs does not bother him, noting that the artistic scene is large and can accommodate all musical tastes.
During a phone call in “Al-Hekaya” program broadcast on MBC MASR on Feb. 22, Diab stated that various musical forms have been around for a long time and will continue to exist, stressing that the different backgrounds of people require providing what matches their tastes.
When Amr Adib, presenter of “Al-Hekaya” program asked Diab if the presence of Mahraganat worries him, the latter replied, “I have been in this career for over 35 years. I witnessed many things in this field and I am a professional in the musical scene. I am very satisfied with what I’ve reached. God has given me more than what I deserve and I do not look at what others do or get.”
The famed Egyptian singer released his latest album on Feb. 20. The album is titled “Sahran”. The new album included the songs “Helwa el-Bedayat”, “Am el-Tabib”, “Sahran”, among others.
