CAIRO – 17 June 2017: A charity art exhibition tailor made to collect funds for Somalia will be held from June 20-23 at The Workshop Gallery, Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah, Dubai. The exhibition is organized by a social enterprise in Dubai named the Ajala project in partnership with ‘’Every Dirham Counts’’ campaign launched to back Emirates Red Crescent.

The charity art exhibition will house the artworks of twenty-five artists who all donate their work to raising funds for Somalia. Among the paintings that will be displayed in the exhibition ‘’The mask’’ by Indian contemporary artist Shrutika Gosavi , ‘’Arabic Woman’’ by Indian artist Sandhya Vikram and ‘’Salam’’ (peace) by Narmeen Naser.
The Red Crescent target is to gather Dh500 million to aid Somalia.

Project leader of ‘’Every Dirham Counts’’ campaign Mona Gulaid said, "We are pleased that our campaign is growing and bringing people together to support the UAE’s efforts on-ground.

The interest and support we have received so far are testament to the fact that the people in the UAE care and are always ready to contribute and make a difference."
