CAIRO – 24 November 2017: La Embajada de España en El Cairo (The Spanish Embassy in Cairo) is collaborating with the Cairo Opera House to stage an authentic Spanish flamenco performance on December 3.

The performance is brought by the Casa Patas Flamenco Conservatory Foundation, which is a nonprofit Madrid-based cultural institution that works to teach and preserve the art of flamenco performance on a national and global level.

According to the event’s official Facebook page, the title of the performance, “Castizo”, refers to a way of life that upholds the qualities of truth and purity, which is often associated with the city of Madrid.

The performance is directed by Rubén Puertas, a dancer, choreographer, and stage director.
