Ignorance is Bliss’ at Darb 1718 Sep 11, Sep 16

CAIRO- 31 August 2017:‘Ignorance is Bliss’ performance will be displayed at Darb 1718 on September 11 and September 16.

‘Ignorance is Bliss’ is directed by Anna Maria Suykerbuyk starring Ahmed El Shamy Ahmed Abd Al Monaaem and herself. It is an interdisciplinary performance that consists of people who will be reading messages that were left behind by the audience.

These messages form the script for the performance. The aim is to encourage people to reflect on what they see and close the gap between individuals.

‘Ignorance is Bliss’ is in collaboration with Breaking Walls Festival in Cairo and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt. The ticket for the performance is LE 35 ($1.98).
