Cairo – August 28: Nehna wel Amar wel Jiran "Us, the Moon & the Neighbours" Festival in its fifth edition takes place in Lebanon on Tuesday. It is a free, outdoor festival, hosting local and international artists, amateurs and professionals.

The festival takes place on the 29 and 30 August, on the Vendome Staircase in Mar Mikhael (Beirut) and on the 2and 3 September, in Hammana.

This year the program will include over 600 artists, amateurs, and volunteers from Egypt, France, Spain, Syria and from all over Lebanon, who will come together to turn stairs, balconies, windows, rooftops and gardens into stages for theatre, puppetry, circus, storytelling, visual arts, music and contemporary dance. The festival’s page on Zoomalo reported.

Believing in the idea that “Beauty and poetry are important to our lives, they are necessary to understand the world we live in, and reimaging it,” the Festival is a nonprofit event, aiming to offer a distinctive cultural experience to everyone, especially who love dance, music, photography, cinema and theatre.

Known to bring exceptional works of quality to diverse audiences, spectators can expect to see over 25 theatre and dance performances alongside concerts, exhibitions, readings, film screenings and other get-togethers,” the official Facebook event of the festival published.
