CAIRO – 22 August 2017: The Room Art and Space Café will host renowned Egyptian jazz musician and singer Noha Fekry on August 31. Fekry will perform with Egyptian musicians’ Rami Attalah and Ehab Badr.

Fekry, collaborates with Attalah and Badr frequently. "… as well as collaborating with other musicians from the Egyptian Jazz scene and more collaborations are to come, so stay tuned for an Autumn surprise" Fekry told Egypt Today. She added, she has been working with both musicians since 2009.

Regarding the playlist of the upcoming concert, she said, “A number of covers from jazz giants will be performed in addition to addition to a few originals by Fekry.”
She has participated in the annual Cairo Jazz Festival since 2009 and in the Amman Jazz Festival in 2016.

Cooperating with the iconic composer Ziad Al-Rahbani, and a number of European musicians, Fekry helped to introduce Egyptian jazz music to the international music scene.

‘A Conversation’ was the first released album in cooperation with the Egyptian pianist Rami Attalah.
‘Janan’ is another music project formed by Fekr yand it introduces alternative rock music.

She is currently working on her second album and another project named ‘Janan.’ In addition, she explained that she also writes the music for the band.

Her latest performances were at the international Swedish Day celebration in Cairo which was organized by the Embassy of Sweden in Cairo, where she performed with Swedish pianist Mattias Nilson. They performed Jazz standards, Arabic tunes, as well as Swedish folk and original tunes. Fekry wrote an Arabic adaptation to a Swedish/Finnish folk tune Called "Vem Kan Segla Förutan Vind". In addition to performing with “Janan” band a few weeks ago at El Geneina Theatre at El Azhar Park.
