United Media Services is among the companies and institutions featured on Arab Cinema Center’s 2026 list of the 101 Most Influential Figures in Arab Cinema, which spotlights those who made a significant impact on the Arab film industry over the past twelve months.
This year’s list features a blend of returning names alongside entirely new additions, with a remarkable presence of Arab women. The list includes 20 directors, 8 actors, 18 production companies, 7 behind-the-scenes professionals, and 7 film festivals. It also features 4 NGOs, 3 arthouse cinemas, 7 funding bodies, 6 broadcasters and digital platforms, 9 empowerment initiatives, and 11 exhibition and distribution entities continuing to support and elevate Arab cinema internationally.
Egypt leads the list with 25 names and entities, including directors and producers Tarek Alarian, Karim El Shenawy, Marwan Hamed, Mohamed Hammad, Morad Mostafa, and Ahmed Desouky. Acclaimed artists Yousra and Ahmed Malek are included in the list.
The technical and corporate side includes Abdel Salam Moussa, Hesham Nazih, Mostafa El Kashef, and Aliaa Zaki. @Messeiry Thursday
