Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and United Media Services (UMS) have launched a new nationwide awareness campaign aimed at encouraging citizens to reduce electricity consumption and adopt more sustainable daily habits.
The campaign brings together a wide range of well-known Egyptian stars from cinema, television, and sports to help spread the message of energy efficiency in a simple and relatable way.

Among the participating figures is actor Nour El Nabawy, who highlights the importance of turning off lights and electrical appliances when not in use, especially in empty rooms, to reduce unnecessary energy waste.
Actress Nour Ehab also takes part, encouraging households to embrace small but impactful habits such as unplugging devices and being mindful of electricity usage throughout the day.
Actor Ahmed Elawady joins the initiative as well, urging the public to practice smarter energy consumption through simple everyday actions that collectively make a significant difference.
From the world of sports, football legend Hazem Emam contributes to the campaign, promoting awareness about reducing electricity waste and supporting national sustainability goals.

Veteran actress Hala Sedky also joins the campaign, reinforcing the message of conserving electricity through simple daily practices such as switching off unused lights and appliances.
