Sedky Sakhr won the Best Actor award and Gihan El Shamashergy won the Best Actress award at the Egyptian American Film Festival for "Can You Keep a Secret?"

Sedky Sakhr was awarded the Best Actor Award and Gihan El Shamashergy received the Best Actress Award for their roles in the short film “Can You Keep a Secret?” at the American Film Festival.

The short film also received a special jury mention. “Can You Keep a Secret?” is written by Salma Abdelwahab and directed by Mohamed Alawi.

In a different context, Sedky is currently starring in the series “Rakam Serry” where he continues playing the role of LoutfiAbboud, the lawyer. The series features a stellar cast, including Yasmin Raies, Sedky Sakhr, Nadine, Ahmed Al-Rafei, Amr Wahba, and several other talented stars. The new drama is written by Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik and directed by Mohammed Abdel Tawab.

Not stopping there, Sedky is making waves as a podcast host with his second season of the new show Family Talks. This season, he invites stars, public figures, and experts such as Fifi Abdou, Ashraf Abdel Baqi, and others, to discuss relationships, parenting, marriage, and more.

Sedky has also just wrapped up filming “Qasr Al Pasha”, where he takes on the intriguing role of Naguib El Desouki. The star-studded cast includes Ahmed Hatem, Hussien Fahmy, Sedky Sakhr, Mayan El Sayed, Ahmed Fahim, Amir Salah El Din, Mohammad Al Qass, Nabil Eissa, Hamza El Eily, Nancy Salah, Mohamed Marzaban, Saudi star Somaya Reda, and Haitham Zeidan, with the film written by Mohammed Nayer and directed by Mohammed Bakir.

Sedky's versatility continues to shine as he recently appeared in not one, but three series during the 2024 Ramadan season: Kamel El A’dad+1, Farawla, and Lunchbox.
