El Gouna Film Festival and Zawya Cinema Extend Partnership for the second year

El Gouna Film Festival announces the continuation of the successful  collaboration between El Gouna Film Festival and Zawya Cinema in Cairo for the second consecutive year.

 

 

 

This collaboration reflects  both organizations’  shared commitment to fostering  cultural and artistic exchange while broadening  the cinema audience in Egypt. Together we aim to  offer a unique cinematic experience for film enthusiasts, with a special focus on independent and alternative cinema.

As part of our "Gouna @ Zawya" initiative, 14 films from this year’s  El Gouna Film Festival selection  will be screened at Zawya Cinema, from October 27 to November 2, with two films showcased daily. Tickets will be available for booking through Zawya Cinema starting on October 23.

This collaboration offers Cairo residents a special opportunity to experience a  selection of films presented at the El Gouna Film Festival’s 7th edition through one of the leading platforms for showcasing independent films in Egypt, Zawya Cinema. The initiative aims to broaden the festival’s reach by offering a variety of films, with a particular focus on engaging a young audience, one of the key target groups of this collaboration.
 
 
 
 
This initiative serves as a step toward introducing the target audience to the latest global and regional film productions, and enhancing artistic and cultural awareness through screenings of high artistic value. Additionally,the collaboration offers a unique opportunity for direct engagement with the Egyptian audience, reinforcing the role of  cinema as a vital medium for cultural and creative exchange.
 
 
 
In this context, the organizers of the El Gouna Film Festival and Zawya Cinema expressed their delight at the continuation of this collaboration, which was met  with great success in its previous edition. They hoped  that  it would continue to provide the audience with the opportunity to watch exceptional films and foster cultural dialogue across various segments of society.
