Mona Abdelwahab in Al Alamien Festival’s press conference: “UMS will allocate 60 percent of the festival profits to support Palestinians in Gaza”

 

 

 

 

The second edition of Al Alamein Festival is packed with numerous concerts, sports competitions, and entertainment activities.

 

The largest entertainment event on the Mediterranean coast will kick off from July 11 to August 31, 2024.

 

A Press conference was held on Alamien's Northsquare on July 1, to reveal the details of the festival’s second edition. 

 

The press conference of the second edition of Al Alamien Festival kicked off with the National Anthem.

 

 

Al Alamien Festival spokesperson, Mona Abdelwahab said that Alamien Festival management expresses warm regards to the late veteran writer Wahid Hamed on the occasion of his birthday before starting her speech at the press conference, asserting that creators don’t die because they live eternally through their great works. “United Media Services decided to allocate 60 percent of the festival profits to support Palestinians in Gaza, as a result every Egyptian and Arab family participating in the festival's events and activities will help support a Palestinian family” Abdelwahab said.

 

Abdelwahab added that Al Alamien Festival contains five sub festivals which are Music and Theater, Food, Sports, Entertainment and Nabta Festival for children.

 

 

 

Abdelwahab added that El Alamein was transferred from the city of mines to the city of joy. “We studied many plans to develop the city of El Alamein and populate its land, and in 4 years, Egyptian hands were able to build one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and we were able to make the world Alamein which is the festival slogan.”

 

 

The festival’s spokesperson recounted that the first edition of Al Alamein Festival achieved legendary success, and this was planned and implemented by thousands of workers and organizers. 

 

“We were able to organize sporting and artistic events, exhibitions, and entertainment shows, all of which were in full numbers and in which a large number of stars and artists participated. Our idea will continue and grow with your participation in the second edition of the festival, with a stronger form and more surprises, with many activities suitable for all family members.” Abdelwahab said.
