"Maleeha" series highlighted how Egyptian army thwarted terrorist attack and smuggling attempt on Egypt’s boarders.

“Maleeha” shed the light as well on  Balfour Declaration which was a letter written by British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lionel Walter Rothschild, in which he expressed the British government’s support for a Jewish homeland in Palestine.

At that time, Palestine was occupied by Britain, and the Palestinians were waging revolutions, because of the British occupation’s desire to settle Israelis there.

The Jews displaced to Palestine began stealing lands from the Palestinians.

As a result, Izz al-Din al-Qassam who studied at Al-Azhar University in Egypt led an armed resistance against British and Zionist rule in Palestine.

"Maleeha" series gained wide praises after the screening of its first episode.

United Media Services produced “Maleeha” to support the Palestinian cause.

The series revolves around a Palestinian family living in Sallum village but after clashes break out in Libya they decide to return to Gaza through Egypt where they face many difficulties.

Egyptian star Diab lands his first leading role in the series which also brings together Mervat Amin, Ashraf Zaki, Amir El Masry, Sereen Khass, Marwa Anwar and Hanan Soliman, among others.

“Maleeha” is scripted by Rasha Ezzat El Gazar and directed by Amr Arafa.

You will re-live the history of the Arab-Zionist conflict in “Maleeha” - a new masterpiece that reminds us that Egypt’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause does not stop at the level of politics, providing aid and reconstruction, but goes far beyond all that to supporting the Palestinian identity with drama work that defends the owners of the land and their cause.
