Moawad Ismail’s new thriller Shams was released in Egyptian cinemas on September 6th

 

 

 

 

The film follows Khaled, who wakes up to find himself in a mysterious place without really knowing how he got there before discovering that he is possessed by a djinn due to his repeated visits to a haunted garden.

 

Shams stars Khaled El-Sawy, Amr Abdel-Gelil, Mahmoud Abdel-Moghny, Huda El-Etreby, Ahmed Bedier, Alaa Morsy, and Mohamed Soliman.

 

The film is Moawad Ismail’s directorial debut, with dramatic treatment by Talal Al-Tarifi, screenplay by Fawaz Al-Khuraishi, dialogue by Muhammad Al-Qawshti, and music composed by Khaled Hammad.
