Russian space drama THE CHALLENGE is set to release in Egyptian cinemas on Sunday, April 26 by Four Star Films, which is managing the film's distribution in Egypt.
 
 
THE CHALLENGE follows a female surgeon who has to perform an immediate operation on a cosmonaut who has sustained a life-threatening injury and will not survive the trip back to Earth while contending with zero gravity and other non-ideal conditions.
 
The film marks the first collaboration between the Russian space corporation Roscosmos and the public broadcaster Channel One with an approximate budget of 1.155bn rubles.
 
The film is directed by Klim Shipenko who co-wrote it with Bakur Bakuradze, Ilya Malakhova, and Ivan Zamorov, and stars Milos Bikovic, Yuliya Peresild, Vladimir Mashkov, and Evgeniya Akhremenko.
