CAIRO – 19 October 2022: Inside the gilded wooden shrine discovered in Tutankhamun’s tomb was a chest with four canopic jars that contained the king’s internal organs, which were meticulously removed during mummification.

The four goddesses Isis, Nephthys, Neith, and Serqet stand at each side of the canopic shrine, outstretching their arms in a gesture of protection.
