Free workshop for youth on documentary filmmaking to be held in Al-Sennari Archaeological House on Sept. 19

CAIRO – 18 September 2022: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a free workshop for youth under the title “Documentation and Visual Awareness - Principles of Photography and Documentary Filmmaking” on September 19 at 5 p.m. in Al-Sennari Archaeological House.

The workshop gives an introduction to photography and documentary filmmaking and its importance, clarifying ways to use photography tools, and explaining the foundations of photography angles, colors and lighting. It also analyzes a collection of films of the most important Egyptian directors, to form a complete picture of the process of making documentaries.

The workshop consists of eight lectures and will be held on Mondays and Thursdays of each week. It targets youth from 16 years and above.
