Award-granting ceremony for 'Art with a Pharaonic Flavor' competition to be held on June 4

CAIRO – 31 May 2022: The Arab Atelier for Culture and Arts [Dai Gallery] in Mohandessin, will hold the award-granting ceremony of the "Art with a Pharaonic Flavor" competition, on June 4 at 7 pm.

 

 

 

 

The winning works will be presented to the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Museum of Civilizations.

 

 

 

 

The value of the competition prizes amounts to LE 700,000. The winner of the first place will be granted LE 70,000, the winner of the second place will be granted LE 50,000, and the winner of the third place will be granted LE 30,000, in all branches of the competition. The prizes will be presented by the Saudi plastic artist Talal Zahid, founder of the initiative.

 

 

 

 

Dai Gallery launched an exhibition of the works participating in the competition in the presence of senior artists and about 150 of the competing plastic artists. The Arab Atelier dedicated the exhibition to the late artist Ahmed Nabil Suleiman, who passed away three days before the exhibition's launch, and dedicated a special wing to his works inside the exhibition hall.

 

 

 

 

The screening committee selected 150 from the 700 artists, who applied for the competition in the fields of photography, drawing, sculpture, ceramics and graphics, and the arbitration committees of all branches have finished their work to announce the results on June 4.
