1895 - The first cinematic movie was shown in Paris, France, at the Indian Salon (Grand Café). It was a silent film by the Lumiere brothers.

 

 

 

 

1945 - The founding of the League of Arab States, which includes seven countries: Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan and Syria.

 

 

 

 

1948 - Two members of the secret terrorist organization assassinate Chancellor Ahmed Al-Khazindar.

 

 

 

 

1986 - Spain announces its recognition of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

 

 

 

 

2004 - Israeli fighters assassinate Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, founder of Hamas, after he performed the dawn prayer in the mosque.
