CAIRO – 23 February 2022: The Egyptian Opera House, represented by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, is organizing the Arab Trends Festival, which kicks off on February 26 at 8 p.m. at Egypt Opera’s Grand Theatre.

The festival will host three concerts including works by 11 authors from Egypt, Jordan and Iraq.

The Arab Trends Festival is one of the tracks that shed light on the musical works of Arab authors in the classical form and aims to enrich musical life in the Arab world, said Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem in a statement Tuesday.

Abdel Dayem pointed out the role of the festival in expressing the innovative creations that bear the Arab character in the Western image, emphasizing that one of the festival’s night will be dedicated to the memorial of the late musician Gamal Salama, which includes selections from his prominent works in this form.
