CAIRO – 1 November 2021: The Central Administration of Artistic Production Centers and the Plastic Arts Sector, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, will launch the 14th Traditional Crafts Festival in the Civilization Cinema Hall at the Egyptian Opera House on November 7.

The festival runs until November 11.

The festival will be launched under the slogan “Development of the Egyptian Citizen”, and will include a group of traditional crafts, starting with handicrafts, and passing through other industries that depend on manual skill in cutting and forming.

The festival includes handmade clothing, which are very popular among women who are keen to acquire this type of clothing because of its high value. This is in addition to handmade jewelry.

Several bodies affiliated with the Ministry of Culture will participate in the festival. The festival embraces all kinds of traditional crafts that express the popular culture of villages and cities.

The festival’s holdings will also include artistic paintings and handmade decorations, such as vases and antiques.

Traditional crafts receive great attention from the Ministry of Culture because they express the authentic Egyptian heritage that should be revived.
