CAIRO – 27 June 2021: Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture will announce the winners of the State Award for the Young Innovator, which is held under the patronage of Egypt’s First Lady Intisar el-Sisi, on June 27 at 1 p.m. at Cairo Opera House’s Small Theater.

 

 

 

The winners are 17 young creators and innovators from different age groups between 5 and 18 years old.

 

 

 

Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem stressed that the award comes within the framework of the Ministry of Culture’s approach to achieve the principle of cultural justice, as 90 percent of the applicants for the Young Innovator Award are from the various villages and governorates of Egypt.

 

 

 

Moreover, Hisham Azmy said in press statements that the Young Innovator Award comes to emphasize the importance of encouraging children and youth to love arts and literature, to raise their cultural awareness, both in the literary and artistic fields.

 

 

 

Azmy said that changes will be made to the award during the upcoming years, where new branches of the award will be added. The award’s new edition will also be announced earlier so that more applicants can participate.
