Certificates of 2nd phase to settle exporting companies' dues issued – Min.

CAIRO - 1 March 2021: Minister of Trade and Industry Niveen Gamea said the Export Development Fund (EDF) has issued the first batch of the second phase of certificates to settle exporting companies' dues.

She said in a statement on Sunday that this step is part of the government's initiative to pay accumulated arrears and dues from the fund to the exporting companies. 
 

The batch included 40 companies with a total value of LE 208.4 million and a net value of LE 192.5 million after deducting all debts of the these firms due for the ministries of finance and petroleum. 
 

The minister added that the initiative aims to respond to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to support such exporting companies in coordination with the Ministry of Finance amid the outbreak of the coronavirus.
