Planning minister praises economic, trade cooperation with Iraq

CAIRO - 2 September 2020: Minister of Panning Hala El Saeed has stressed the importance of strategic relations between Egypt and Iraq, pointing out that the relations between the two countries witnessed a leap recently in light of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's participation in a three-way summit with Iraqi and Jordanian leaders in Amman last month.

The minister's statements came in a press release issued by the ministry on Wednesday on the outcome of a meeting with Iraqi Ambassador here Ahmed Nayef Al Dulaimy to discuss joint cooperation.
 

The minister said the three-way summit tackled cooperation in the fields of energy, electricity linkage, infrastructure, food, investments and economy with the aim of establishing a new phase of strategic integration between the three countries.
