In a statement on Thursday, the ministry said that this high record in production reflected the success in implementing the integrated work program in the various oilfields of the company in the Eastern and Western Desert areas, the Gulf of Suez and Sinai.

In spite of the serious challenges that accompanied the exceptional circumstances that the country has gone through over the past five months due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the company manged to up its crude oil production, the statement said.

The ministry described this success as a major step on the right track to achieve the company's goals of continuing to increase the crude output in the coming period, it added.
