CAIRO – 13 May 2019: Egypt’s exports to South Korea surged 247.7 percent during 2018, recording $313 million, compared to $90 million in 2017, according to Export and Import Control Authority.
Meanwhile, non-oil exports to Korea rose 36.6 percent to $82 million in 2018, compared to $60 million in 2017.
On the other hand, Egypt's imports from South Korea rose to record $1.8 billion in 2018 compared to $1.3 billion in 2017, with an increase of 38.5 percent.
The report showed that the trade volume between Egypt and South Korea marked a significant increase during 2018, reaching $2.2 billion, compared to $1.4 billion in 2017.
