CAIRO, May 13 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting on means of activating the bourse to proceed with its vital role in supporting economic and social development plans.
Ministers Mohamed Maait of Finance and Hisham Tawfiq of Public Enterprise Sector attended the meeting alongside Egyptian Stock Exchange Chairman Mohamed Farid, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said on Monday.
The talks tackled the latest developments in the bourse as well as means of removing obstacles hampering development of the bourse.
The talks also reviewed means of accelerating the implementation of a program for getting governmental companies to float in the bourse in addition to lowering trading cost and increasing bourse efficiency.
At the end of the meeting, Madbouli stressed the government's interest in developing the bourse and its affiliated associations.
