CAIRO – 22 May 2017: About L.E. 8.45 billion ($466.6 million) allocated for the investment and executive plan for the new roads and bridges in the new budget for the fiscal year 2017/2018, said Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Authority Adel Turk in a Monday statement.

Turk added that the new budget includes L.E. 2 billion ($110.4 million) designated to the maintenance of roads and bridges taken from the resources of the Authority's budget.

The chairman said that the Authority's own resources come from the proceeds of road and bridge advertisements and fully directed for maintenance.

On December 2016, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi launched five projects related to roads and bridges in various governorates worth L.E. 3.3 billion ($182 million.)
