CAIRO - 30 June 2018: Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawy met at his office here with Kazakh Ambassador in Cairo Arman Isagaliev.

They discussed spheres of cooperation between Egypt and Kazakhstan in various domains, in light of the historical ties binding both countries, mainly in local governance domain, due to the Kazakh prominent experience in setting up new cities.

Kazakhstan is celebrating the 20th anniversary of launching its administrative capital “Astana”.

Shaarawy underscored the importance of exchanging expertise between both sides, and benefiting from Kazakhstan’s experience while implementing the Egyptian new administrative capital that is set to cope with the highest international standards.
